Cassio Audi originates from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He began his music career as an instrumentalist. Cassio Audi was the founding member of the Brazilian band, Viper, in 1985. This band played metallic music in the 1960’s. They became an iconic identity of the heavy metallic music at that time. Cassio Audi was known by his fans as a heavy metal drummer, and he remains a legend on the global scene.
Other founding members of the popular band are Andre Matos, Felipe Machad, Yves Passarell, and Pit Passarell. Back then, heavy metal music was famous in Brazil giving identity to some of the most iconic bands in the music history of the country. All of the members of the group were teenagers and were highly talented both in playing instruments and vocals. The band was influenced by the developing British heavy metal and the Iron maiden. Their official album, Soldiers of Sunrise, was recorded in 1987 and was considered one of the greatest hits of the Brazilian music industry. The album became popular and was featured in the world top magazines like Metal Hammer and Metal Forces. They gained high ratings and sold more than ten thousand copies. Theatre of Fate which was the bands second album was released in 1989 and was played across Asia, USA, and Europe. They topped the chart and beat the then popular bands like Nirvana and Van Halen. Cassio Audi was not actively involved in the recording but he opened the stage for the recording.
Cassio Audi, later on, left the Viper band to focus on his schooling, in 1989. He went to the University to pursue a different career path.
